Takipsly – Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice

Etlik Bilişim, the developer of the Takipsly app (the “App”), cares deeply about user privacy. This document explains what information the App collects, how it uses that information and how it is protected. It also serves as the privacy notice required under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

Relationship With Instagram and Account Security

Takipsly is an independent app; it is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta, and it is not developed, supported or endorsed by them. You sign in through Instagram’s own login page; your password is never read or stored by the App and is never sent to our servers.

Instagram may temporarily or permanently restrict or suspend accounts for security reasons when third-party tools are used. These decisions are made solely by Instagram; we cannot know or determine the reason for them. Heavy use of features such as unfollowing and bulk actions may lead to account restrictions; we recommend using these features at your own responsibility and within reasonable limits. Etlik Bilişim cannot be held responsible for restrictions or suspensions that Instagram applies to your account.

Instagram and Meta are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

Your Own Account Only

The App shows the signed-in user only the follow relationships of their own account (for example, who doesn’t follow you back, your new followers and changes in your follower count). The App:

  • does not export follower or following lists; there is no feature to export them as a file, spreadsheet or list,
  • does not collect your followers’ contact details such as email addresses or phone numbers,
  • does not collect commenters, group members or lead lists,
  • does not collect the follower lists of other accounts,
  • does not send your follower lists to our servers, sell them or share them with anyone.

Data That Stays on Your Device

Your follower and following lists, scan results, follower change history and daily follower counts, story viewer records, profile photos and history are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers. When you sign out of the App, this data and your session information are deleted from your device.

Photos and videos you download with the App are saved to your device’s gallery (in the “Takipsly” album). These files belong to you; they are not deleted when you sign out or uninstall the App, and you can delete them from your gallery at any time.

Information We Collect

For the App to work, and for subscription management and notifications, the following are stored on our servers: your Instagram username and ID, device and app information, your approximate location (country/city) derived from your IP address, your notification token and your purchase records. This information is used only to provide and improve the service; it is not sold and is not shared with third parties other than the service providers described below.

Your personal data is collected automatically by electronic means while you use the App. It is processed on the following legal bases:

  • providing the service and managing subscriptions (the formation and performance of a contract),
  • improving the App and fixing errors (legitimate interest),
  • compliance with legal obligations.

Where personalized ads require it, your consent is requested separately in the App.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services, primarily from Google (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play), for showing ads, usage statistics, error reporting, sending notifications, data hosting, payment processing and determining approximate location. Advertising services may use your advertising ID and device information. These services are subject to their own privacy policies. Your follower and following lists are not sent to these services.

International Transfers

The servers of the data hosting, analytics, notification and advertising services used in the App are located outside Turkey. Your personal data is therefore transferred abroad for the purpose of providing these services. Transfers are carried out in line with the safeguards set out in Article 9 of KVKK.

Retention Period

Information on our servers is kept for as long as necessary to provide the service and as required by legal obligations. At the end of this period, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

Log Data

When an error occurs in the App, information such as the device model, operating system version and technical details of the error may be collected.

Cookies

You sign in to Instagram in a browser inside the App. Instagram’s session cookies are stored only on your device and are deleted when you sign out. Third-party services may use their own cookies.

Deleting Your Data

Data on your device is deleted when you sign out of the App or uninstall it (except for files you downloaded to your gallery). If you would like the information stored on our servers to be deleted, write to [email protected] and include your Instagram username.

Your Rights Under KVKK

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it,
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used for that purpose,
  • know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom your data is transferred,
  • request that incomplete or incorrectly processed data be corrected,
  • request that your data be deleted or destroyed under the conditions set out in KVKK,
  • request that corrections and deletions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
  • object to a result against you arising from the analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems,
  • claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

The App may contain links to third-party sites. We do not control the privacy practices of these sites.

Children’s Privacy

We do not offer a service directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from this age group.

This document may be updated from time to time. Updates will be announced on this page.
